Job Description

Take the next step in your Speech-Language Pathology career by supporting a vibrant school community as an SLPA. In this contract role near Van Nuys, youll play an integral part of a dedicated team, providing impactful language and communication services for students while collaborating closely with on-site SLPAs. This position is set to begin August 2026 and runs through November or December 2026, covering a temporary leave.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Speech-Language Pathology Assistant licensure in California
  • Experience working within a school setting is highly valued
  • Familiarity supporting students with a wide range of speech, language, and communication needs
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing caseloads
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities, ready to collaborate with both staff and families
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language interventions to a caseload of approximately 45 students
  • Support SLPs with documentation, progress reports, and IEP goals
  • Maintain detailed session notes and ensure compliance with school and state regulations
  • Communicate regularly with classroom teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
  • Assist in developing and implementing therapy materials suited to individual student needs
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities
