This contract position focuses on Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) services across several elementary settings, making a positive impact while developing your professional skills for the duration of the 2026-2027 academic year.
The role is full-time, offering stable hours and the unique benefit of paid travel time between schoolsensuring your dedication to student success is valued at every turn. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team ready to welcome your expertise and enthusiasm. All hours worked during the contracted timeframe, including participation in team meetings and indirect activities, are compensated.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid VA SLPA license required
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Adaptability and strong communication skills for working in itinerant assignments
- Organizational ability to manage caseloads across multiple PreK-5 sites
- Commitment to fostering inclusivity and positive, student-focused interactions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to students under SLP supervision
- Support intervention plans, document progress, and maintain accurate records
- Participate in team meetings, parent communications, and program-related activities
- Collaborate with educators and SLPs to integrate communication goals into daily learning
