Job Description

As an SLPA working in the Baltimore area, youll collaborate closely with certified Speech Language Pathologists to support children and adolescents throughout the academic year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Maryland SLPA license required (must provide current documentation)
  • Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and school-based therapy models
  • Ability to meet sensitive credentialing requirements, including background checks, fingerprinting, and employment history review as mandated by House Bill 486
  • Comfortable participating in pre-employment screenings or prescreen interviews

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting therapy activities as designed by a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Support implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with communication needs
  • Document and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records
  • Collaborate with other educators, staff, and families to ensure excellent care and communication
  • Adapt to working across various campus locations as assignments are finalized
  • Provide in-person support on-site across the 2026-2027 school year
