Step into an impactful role supporting communication development in school settings as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant! This position is ideal for those driven by a passion for helping students excel and grow. As an SLPA working in the Baltimore area, youll collaborate closely with certified Speech Language Pathologists to support children and adolescents throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Maryland SLPA license required (must provide current documentation)
- Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued
- Familiarity with IEP processes and school-based therapy models
- Ability to meet sensitive credentialing requirements, including background checks, fingerprinting, and employment history review as mandated by House Bill 486
- Comfortable participating in pre-employment screenings or prescreen interviews
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting therapy activities as designed by a Speech Language Pathologist
- Support implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with communication needs
- Document and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records
- Collaborate with other educators, staff, and families to ensure excellent care and communication
- Adapt to working across various campus locations as assignments are finalized
- Provide in-person support on-site across the 2026-2027 school year
