Job Description

Support speech and language development for elementary-aged students in a dynamic school setting located near Houston, TX. This full-time, itinerant role involves working across two elementary schools, with the potential to expand to a third, providing crucial assistance to students needing speech-language pathology support.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy services to elementary students.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and families to support individualized education plans.
  • Travel between assigned schools to provide consistent, effective service.
  • Adhere to all school and district policies, including time-sensitive credentialing requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Speech Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field.
  • Active state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • ASHA Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification preferred.
  • Completion of Texas Education Agency (TEA) fingerprinting requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to student care.

Location:

  • Primary work sites are two elementary schools in the Conroe area, near Houston, TX, with a potential third school assignment.
