Job Description

Make a meaningful impact this summer supporting students in an engaging extended school year (ESY) program as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. This contract position gives you the chance to work with a dedicated team focused on student development, just a short distance from Stillwater, MN.

The assignment runs July 6 through July 23 at an elementary school, with a schedule that offers both morning and afternoon hours on select days for a balanced summer work experience. Youll collaborate with school staff, deliver targeted speech and language interventions, and help create an uplifting learning environment for every child.

What were looking for:

  • Valid Minnesota SLPA License required
  • Experience working with children in school settings highly valued
  • Familiarity with speech/language development and intervention techniques
  • Ability to support and implement individualized plans under the supervision of an SLP
  • Clear and caring communicator who builds rapport with students, staff, and families
  • Positive attitude and adaptability in fast-paced educational environments

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language services to students under SLP supervision
  • Collect data and maintain student records according to school standards
  • Assist with instructional materials and activities supporting IEP goals
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with educators and service providers
  • Adapt support for a variety of ages and communication needs
