Bring your expertise as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students in multiple schools across elementary, middle, or high school levels. This full-time position spans the 2026-2027 academic year, with a Monday through Friday schedule and 37.5 working hours per week. Travel candidates are welcome; youll play a key role in helping students achieve their communication goals in a collaborative, onsite setting.
What youll bring:
- Current and active North Carolina SLPA license (required)
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly valued
- Strong communication skills and a passion for student-centered support
- Ability to work onsite across multiple campuses, adapting to varying student needs
- Collaborative spirit and organizational skills to manage records and therapy activities
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Supporting speech-language pathologists in direct and indirect therapy sessions
- Assisting in the development and implementation of individualized communication plans
- Providing therapy services under supervision, following IEP goals and district protocols
- Maintaining accurate documentation on student progress and therapy activities
- Coordinating with teachers, staff, and families to foster optimal communication outcomes
- Participating in team meetings, training, and required district initiatives
