Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Associate's degree from an accredited SLPA program
• Valid SLPA license or eligibility for licensure in Alaska
• Experience supporting speech-language therapy services in school settings preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to students and staff
• Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and initiative
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist speech-language pathologists in providing therapy services to students with a variety of communication disorders
• Carry out therapy activities and treatment plans developed by supervising SLPs
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
• Support classroom teachers with strategies to facilitate communication and participation
• Adapt activities to meet the individual needs of students
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress discussions as needed
