Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting students in a specialized school environment serving individuals ages 6-21. This full-time, itinerant position is ideal for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants with experience in education and healthcare settings. You will work 40 hours per week within a collaborative team, helping students achieve their communication goals across a varied caseload.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Active SLPA certification/license, or eligibility in the state of Maryland
- Previous experience in educational or healthcare settings, working with children and adolescents
- Comfortable managing a diverse caseload in specialized settings
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and progress tracking
- Adaptable and organized, with strong communication skills
- Willingness to travel between assigned school sites as needed
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist in assessments, therapy sessions, and implementation of individualized education plans
- Document student progress, maintain records, and communicate updates to the team
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities
- Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to support student outcomes
- Ensure compliance with district guidelines and best practices
