Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting students communication and academic growth in a contract Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) role for the upcoming school year. This opportunity offers the chance to provide onsite support for backfill needs across the district, working collaboratively with educational teams, families, and supervising speech-language pathologists.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, active SLPA licensure in North Carolina is required
  • Previous experience in schools or pediatric settings is highly valued
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
  • Highly organized with efficient time management to meet the demands of a school schedule
  • Comfortable working onsite in a K12 educational environment

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with implementing individualized speech and language therapy plans as directed by supervising SLPs
  • Provide targeted interventions and support for students with communication disorders
  • Collect data and maintain documentation of student progress in accordance with school and district guidelines
  • Work within multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for students
  • Participate in meetings, consultations, and professional development as needed
