Job Description

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent required
  • Valid state SLPA licensure or eligibility for licensure
  • Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with students, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Organized, self-motivated, and adaptable to a varied caseload

Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized treatment plans designed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
  • Provide direct therapy to students with speech, language, and communication needs
  • Assist in documenting student progress and preparing therapy materials
  • Support generalization of speech and language skills across classroom settings
  • Monitor and report student performance to SLPs and school staff
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to student progress discussions
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school or district policies
