Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Active California licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to assist with implementing therapy plans under supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Organized, punctual, and adaptable to a dynamic school environment
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of individualized and group speech-language therapy sessions
  • Carry out therapeutic activities and exercises designed by supervising SLP
  • Track and document student progress, maintaining accurate records
  • Assist in the development of materials and resources for therapy
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, specialists, and administrators to ensure cohesive support for students
  • Engage with parents and caregivers as needed to facilitate carryover of strategies at home
