Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a motivated Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support a school district in the San Diego area. This full-time contract role involves working under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to help deliver therapy services to students with communication challenges. This is a great opportunity for an SLPA who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and making a meaningful impact in students daily lives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the supervising SLP in implementing speech and language therapy plans
  • Provide direct therapy services to students as directed by the SLP
  • Support students with articulation, language, and social communication goals
  • Prepare therapy materials and activities
  • Document student performance and progress toward goals
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to reinforce therapy strategies in the classroom

Qualifications

  • Active California SLPA license or certification
  • Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred

Education

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field

Experience

  • Previous SLPA or related experience preferred
  • New graduates encouraged to apply

Work Hours

  • 8:00 AM 3:30 PM
  • 37.5 hours per week 
Compensation for this position ranges from $27.00 to $55.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
