Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a motivated Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support a school district in the San Diego area. This full-time contract role involves working under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to help deliver therapy services to students with communication challenges. This is a great opportunity for an SLPA who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and making a meaningful impact in students daily lives.
Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising SLP in implementing speech and language therapy plans
- Provide direct therapy services to students as directed by the SLP
- Support students with articulation, language, and social communication goals
- Prepare therapy materials and activities
- Document student performance and progress toward goals
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to reinforce therapy strategies in the classroom
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work under supervision
- Good organizational and documentation abilities
- Patience and adaptability when working with children
- Team-oriented mindset
Qualifications
- Active California SLPA license or certification
- Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Understanding of speech and language development
Education
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
Experience
- Previous SLPA or related experience preferred
- New graduates encouraged to apply
