Job Description

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Current SLPA licensure or eligibility to practice as an SLPA in the state
  • Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
  • Ability to implement activities and programs as directed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Organizational skills for maintaining documentation and supporting student progress

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct therapy sessions and activities designed by the supervising SLP to support students speech, language, and communication abilities
  • Collect and document student performance data
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to integrate speech and language support in academic activities
  • Prepare and organize materials needed for therapy
  • Provide encouragement and motivation to students, helping to foster their confidence and participation
  • Assist with generalization and carryover of learned skills into the classroom environment
