Qualifications and Experience:
- Active or eligible California SLPA license
- Previous experience in a pediatric or school-based environment preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively with Speech-Language Pathologists, educators, and families
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for supporting children with speech and language challenges
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out speech and language therapy sessions as planned by supervising SLPs
- Assist with student assessments and support the implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other staff to support the communication needs of each student
- Prepare and organize therapy materials, adapt activities to meet student goals, and monitor performance
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
