Job Description

Step into a rewarding onsite role as a School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract position offers the chance to collaborate with passionate educators and positively impact student progress in a vibrant school setting near Sacramento, CA.

Youll provide direct support for speech-language services under the supervision of licensed SLPs, working closely with a diverse K-12 caseload to facilitate communication growth and help students achieve their IEP goals. This is a full-time opportunity, with 35 hours per week ensuring meaningful engagement with students while maintaining work-life balance.

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • An active California State SLPA license
  • Experience or strong interest in working with K-12 students
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Ability to follow guidance from supervising SLPs and implement therapy plans
  • Reliability and professionalism in a school environment

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering speech-language interventions and activities as assigned
  • Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records
  • Collaborating with SLPs, teachers, and school staff
  • Supporting inclusive practices and contributing to IEP processes
  • Fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere for student communication development
