Job Description

This full-time, onsite contract position is perfect for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) who thrives working directly with children and wants to contribute to the growth of their educational community.

In this position, youll work closely with around 20 students, primarily in elementary grades, providing direct therapeutic services and collaborating with teachers and staff to foster a nurturing learning environment. The assignment follows the traditional academic calendar, spanning August 2026 through June 2027, allowing you the rewarding opportunity to make lasting connections throughout the school year.

Qualifications and Experience Desired:

  • Active California SLPA certification required
  • Possession of PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) Credential for California
  • Previous experience supporting K-12 students, with preference given to those familiar with elementary population
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Compassionate and patient approach to student development

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech/language therapy to assigned students as outlined in their IEPs or support plans
  • Track progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare necessary documentation
  • Collaborate with supervising Speech-Language Pathologist, educators, and caregivers
  • Participate in meetings, IEP reviews, and school events as necessary
  • Foster a positive, motivating experience where students can thrive
