Job Description

Step into a rewarding role supporting secondary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the 2026-2027 school year. This on-site contract position offers a dynamic environment where your skills can make a meaningful impact in a welcoming educational community. Enjoy the flexibility of a full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week) or, if needed, explore a part-time workload (around 30 hours/week). Locations will be thoughtfully assigned with your commute in mind, striving to keep you at one primary school, and possibly a second as needed.

As part of your caseload, youll support middle and high school students, averaging 80-90 students, with assignments taking your expertise and comfort level into account. Familiarity with AAC devices is highly valued, as many students benefit from assisted communication tools.

Your Background:

  • Valid and current SLPA license required
  • Previous school-based SLPA experience, especially with secondary age groups, preferred
  • Experience with AAC devices is a strong plus
  • Comfortable managing moderate caseloads and working across multiple school sites if needed
  • Must pass state fingerprinting and background check
  • Organized, flexible, and committed to fostering student progress

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Collaborate with staff and families to support student growth
  • Implement therapy plans and document progress
  • Utilize AAC devices and adapt therapy techniques as needed
  • Travel between assigned campuses if required
