A full-time, onsite Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available supporting a diverse TK-8th grade caseload. This contract role offers a chance to deliver hands-on therapy and work closely with experienced educators and therapists to refine your skills.
Ideal candidates will bring a passion for helping children develop strong communication abilities and a collaborative approach to working within a school setting. As an SLPA, youll play a key role in supporting student success and making a lasting impact.
Qualifications:
- Active and valid California SLPA license (required)
- Previous experience as an SLPA in a school environment is highly valued
- Ability to work effectively with children in TK through 8th grade
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Skilled in keeping records and documenting student progress
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist
- Support the implementation of IEP goals for students across a range of speech and language needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families
- Assist with conducting screenings and collecting data for progress monitoring
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to therapy and student achievements
