Step into an impactful opportunity supporting students communication development as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant. This contract position runs from August 13, 2026, to May 27, 2027, offering the chance to collaborate with students across multiple elementary, middle, and high schools within a vibrant educational community. Working onsite, youll contribute as an essential part of the student support team, providing your expertise to help children reach their fullest communicative potential.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active North Carolina SLPA license required
- Previous experience in school settings, serving elementary, middle, or high school populations, highly desirable
- Understanding of common speech and language disorders and intervention strategies
- Strong collaboration skills for working alongside SLPs, teachers, and special education staff
- Organized, flexible, and able to manage services across multiple campuses
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing therapy plans tailored to each students needs
- Deliver direct interventions to students as specified by supervisory SLPs
- Accurately document progress and session outcomes, maintaining compliance with school and state guidelines
- Travel to assigned school sites throughout the week within the district
- Communicate regularly with educational teams and participate in IEP meetings as needed
This full-time contract role features a Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 weekly hours. Candidates from outside the area are welcome to apply, as travel professionals will be considered. All services are delivered onsite, fostering direct connections with students and staff.
