Job Description

Join an educational setting dedicated to supporting student communication and development as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Punta Gorda, FL. This full-time, on-site position offers the opportunity to work across multiple elementary school locations, providing essential speech-language support to students within an active and engaged school district.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech therapy assistance to a caseload of approximately 50-55 students.
  • Support Speech Language Pathologists in delivering individualized treatment plans.
  • Work primarily at two elementary schools: Harns Marsh Elementary (2 days per week) and Mirror Lakes Elementary (1 day per week).
  • Collaborate closely with educators and clinical staff to ensure effective communication strategies are implemented.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license is required.
  • Prior experience in school settings is preferred.
  • Must be available for fingerprinting and credential verification per state regulations.
  • Ability to work onsite exclusivelyremote or hybrid options are not available.
  • Effective communication skills and a passion for supporting childrens speech development.

Location:

  • Punta Gorda, FL with assignments also covering schools in the broader Fort Myers area.
