Job Description

This opportunity is for two Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves delivering speech and language services as outlined in student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract position offers consistent hours and the chance to make a positive impact on student communication development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing speech and language therapy plans for students
  • Provide direct support to students with speech, language, and communication challenges
  • Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists and school staff to monitor student progress
  • Document and report student performance and therapy outcomes
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education programs

Qualifications:

  • Valid Florida SLPA license is required
  • Experience working with K-12 age groups in a school setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow detailed therapy plans and demonstrate flexibility to meet student needs
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adherence to professional standards

Working Hours and Location:

  • 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
  • Based in Jacksonville, FL
