Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent
- Active SLPA license or eligibility in the state
- Experience working with children or in school settings preferred
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
- Compassion and patience with students of varying backgrounds and abilities
- Ability to work under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy plans designed by the supervising SLP for individual students and small groups
- Assist in providing direct speech and language therapy services within the classroom or designated therapy area
- Track and document student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Adapt activities and materials to support varying learning and communication styles
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, families, and school professionals to support student goals
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
