Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in grades PreK through 5th across two elementary schools in the Baltimore area, MD. This contract-based role offers an engaging environment working directly within school settings to provide essential speech therapy services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering speech-language pathology assistance to students in PreK5th grade
  • Collaborating with educators and therapists to implement individualized plans
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Complying with district policies, including background checks and fingerprinting per House Bill 486
  • Serving assigned schools with a schedule split between Magnolia Elementary (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and Prospect Mill Elementary (Monday, Wednesday)

Qualifications and experience:

  • Active Maryland Professional Licensure as required
  • Experience working with school-aged children in speech therapy settings preferred
  • Ability to pass required background checks and credentialing requirements
  • Flexibility to work a 37.5-hour week during the contract period from mid-February through late May; potential extension into summer ESY services for four weeks in July

Location:

  • This is an on-site position based in Baltimore area elementary schools located in Joppatowne and Bel Air, MD.
