Job Description

A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to provide support services in two elementary schools located in the Baltimore area, MD. This contract position involves working on-site to assist with speech and language interventions for students in grades PreK through 5th grade. The assignment spans from mid-February through the end of May 2026, with a possibility to extend into the Extended School Year program during July.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering speech and language services to students under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists
  • Collaborating with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized intervention plans
  • Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Participating in meetings and contributing to a positive educational environment

Qualifications sought:

  • Active Maryland professional licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant
  • Compliance with House Bill 486 including a district background check, fingerprinting, and an employment history review
  • Ability to work a full 37.5-hour week split between two schools: Magnolia Elementary (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and Prospect Mill Elementary (Monday, Wednesday)
  • Previous experience working with PreK-5th grade students preferred
