Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential speech and language services for a local school community during a leave coverage term from August 2026 through November/December 2026. In this vital role, youll support students communication success in a collaborative, positive environmentwith the added benefit of experienced SLPA professionals on campus to partner with you.

Youll manage a caseload averaging around 45 students, working on-site 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Your expertise will help students develop crucial speech and language skills, creating a profound impact on their educational journeys.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting highly desired
  • Strong understanding of pediatric speech and language disorders
  • Ability to cultivate supportive, professional relationships with students, teachers, and families
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement speech-language therapy plans under the supervision of an SLP
  • Conduct small group and individual sessions with students, targeting IEP goals
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate closely with school staff and families
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
