This contract assignment is perfect for an enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) ready to help children achieve their fullest potential. Work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and dedicated school teams, providing direct intervention and support to students to help enrich their learning experiences.
Desired Background and Skills:
- Active SLPA license or eligibility in Kansas required
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
- Previous experience working with school-aged children or in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and a warm, encouraging approach
- Comfortable collaborating with teachers, families, and therapy staff
- Organized and adaptable, able to manage a flexible caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy plans under the supervision of a certified SLP
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based interventions individually and in small groups
- Collect, record, and document data on student progress
- Assist with screening, testing, and materials preparation as needed
- Foster an inclusive, nurturing environment for all students
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning
