Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). In this role, youll collaborate closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, providing interventions that make a meaningful difference in the academic environment. Your expertise will enable students to communicate confidently and achieve their educational goals.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active SLPA license or certification required
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Ability to implement therapeutic activities as directed by an SLP
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient with documentation and progress monitoring
- Up-to-date knowledge of best practices in speech-language pathology for school settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services under supervision of an SLP
- Support implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collect data on student progress and maintain accurate records
- Work directly with students one-on-one and in small groups
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, SLPs, and other professionals
- Assist in developing communication materials and activities tailored to student needs
