Job Description

Step into a dynamic school setting and make a meaningful impact as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting students with communication needs. This full-time contract opportunity offers a structured schedule with up to 35 hours per week, primarily onsite at a single campus, fostering strong relationships within the school community. The role is set to begin August 10, 2026, and will extend through May 28, 2027.

Ideal candidates can look forward to a supportive environment where their expertise will help children reach their communication goals. Youll collaborate closely with a supervising SLP, providing direct speech services to a traditional caseload of students across varying age groups, ensuring each student receives the attention they deserve.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Valid and active FL DOH SLPA Licensure (required)
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Ability to work onsite (remote/VOCO work is not available)
  • Completion of Florida school district fingerprinting process, or eligibility for verification via the AHCA Clearinghouse
  • Commitment to full-time hours (35 per week), with reliable attendance throughout the contract duration
  • Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a collaborative approach

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based speech and language interventions under SLP supervision
  • Work directly with students to support individual and group therapy goals
  • Collaborate with educators and caregivers, contributing to a positive learning atmosphere
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and participate in meetings as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with all district, state, and ethical guidelines
