Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Associates or bachelors degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Current SLPA state licensure or eligibility in Kansas
- Previous experience in schools or pediatric therapy settings is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to follow SLP treatment plans and data collection protocols
- Reliable, organized, and comfortable working in multiple classroom settings
- Commitment to ongoing growth and collaboration with supervising SLP
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech-language therapy activities designed by the supervising SLP
- Provide direct and indirect services to students under supervision
- Document and report student progress; maintain detailed session notes
- Prepare, organize, and utilize therapy materials for sessions
- Assist in screening, assessment, and progress monitoring
- Communicate with teachers and staff to support student success
- Adapt and modify activities to various ages and ability levels
