Job Description

Youll work weekdays for a total of 30 hours per week, collaborating closely with dedicated SLPA professionals already on campus to ensure continuity of care for a caseload averaging around 45 students.

As the Speech-Language Pathologist in this role, youll be covering for a leave and helping a diverse student population reach their speech and language milestones through collaborative and student-centered approaches.

What Were Looking For:

  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in California
  • Previous experience in a school setting or related pediatric role preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP documentation and therapy strategies for school-aged children
  • Strong communication and rapport-building skills with students, families, and staff
  • Highly organized and adaptable to a dynamic caseload
  • Team mindset, comfortable collaborating with other SLPAs and staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students as prescribed in their IEPs
  • Co-ordinate and communicate with supporting SLPAs and educational staff
  • Assist with assessment, documentation, and progress monitoring
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute relevant input regarding student progress
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements
  • Foster an inclusive and positive therapy environment
