Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of an accredited SLPA program and current licensure (as required by state regulations)
  • Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and communication disorders
  • Skillful communicator with students, families, and colleagues
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential documentation
  • Adaptable and proactive; comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering direct therapy services to students with a range of communication challenges
  • Support the execution of individualized education programs (IEPs) and document student progress
  • Create and maintain a positive, inclusive environment tailored to each learners abilities and needs
  • Prepare materials, track therapy activities, and support assessment processes as directed
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student progress and recommendations
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing training opportunities
