Job Description

Support a K-5 elementary caseload as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a full-time, on-site role within a public school setting located in Mobile, AL. This contract position spans the 20252026 school year, providing the opportunity to work closely with young learners in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology support services to students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
  • Collaborate with licensed speech-language pathologists to implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation according to school guidelines.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches to student care.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant state and educational board standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered SLPA credential with the Board of Speech Examiners is required.
  • Experience working with K-5 age groups within an educational setting preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site at assigned school locations.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to supporting student development.
  • Knowledge of Alabama Department of Education regulations relating to SLPA roles is beneficial.

Location and Schedule:

  • Position is based in Mobile, Alabama.
  • Full-time schedule of 35 hours per week.
  • Assignment spans from March 2025 through May 22, 2026.
  • Primary placement at Ella Grant Elementary with possible involvement in other schools within the district.
