Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the vibrant Minneapolis area. What were looking for:

  • Current and active Minnesota SLPA license (license must be issued and in hand to be considered)
  • Experience or coursework in speech-language pathology, ideally in a school-based or pediatric setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Dedication to providing compassionate assistance to elementary-aged students
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards
  • Flexibility and adaptability within a dynamic school environment
  • Organizational skills to manage documentation and caseload effectively

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language interventions as specified by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
  • Support students in developing social communication, articulation, and language comprehension skills
  • Implement therapy activities and individualized education program (IEP) goals
  • Accurately document student progress and session notes
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to encourage student success
  • Assist with screenings, assessments, and preparation of materials
  • Foster a welcoming, supportive learning atmosphere for all students

This Monday through Friday position offers 37.5 hours per week, following the school calendar and allowing for a balanced workload with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day.
