Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, serving students in the vibrant Baltimore area. This on-site, contract-based position invites you to make a positive impact throughout the 2026-2027 academic year, working closely with a supportive multidisciplinary educational team.

Your schedule will follow a traditional full-time school week, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week from September to June. The specific caseload, age groups, and number of school assignments will be shared during the interview process, offering insight into where your contributions will be most valuable.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Maryland Professional Licensure (current and in good standing)
  • School-based SLPA experience preferred
  • Familiarity with creating and implementing speech/language interventions
  • Professionalism, dependability, and genuine enthusiasm for helping students achieve their communication goals
  • Ability to provide images or documentation of required licensure
  • Successful completion of House Bill 486 requirements, including district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support Speech-Language Pathologists in developing and delivering therapy services to students
  • Deliver individual and small group sessions as directed by supervising SLPs
  • Assist with data collection and documentation for progress reports
  • Adapt therapy activities to meet the diverse needs of students in multiple school settings
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with school staff and parents/guardians
