Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a school-based contract role near McConnell AFB, KS. Key Qualifications:
- Active SLPA license or eligibility to practice as an SLPA in Kansas
- Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably within a school environment
- Solid understanding of speech and language development, therapy techniques, and communication disorders
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with students, educators, and parents
- Ability to follow treatment plans and document student progress accurately
- Flexibility, reliability, and readiness to adapt to the needs of a dynamic school environment
Responsibilities:
- Support speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy and educational interventions
- Work directly with students one-on-one or in small groups under professional supervision
- Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals
- Monitor, record, and report student progress as required
- Prepare therapy materials, schedule sessions, and maintain an organized therapy space
- Communicate effectively with the educational team and families as needed to support student growth
