Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a school-based team in the Marion, AL area. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with students across a wide range of ages while supporting communication development in an educational setting. Flexible scheduling options are available for qualified candidates.

Position Details

  • Position: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Employment Type: Contract
  • Hours: Up to 40
  • Assignment: Through June 2027
  • Student Population: Head Start through 12th Grade
  • Caseload: Up to 40 Students
  • Location: Marion, AL Area

Responsibilities

  • Implement speech and language treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
  • Assist with data collection and progress monitoring
  • Support students with a variety of communication needs, including autism and nonverbal learners
  • Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to support student goals
  • Maintain accurate service notes and documentation
  • Participate in team meetings as needed


Qualifications

  • Active Alabama SLPA License
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Organized and detail-oriented approach to documentation and service delivery
