Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) working within a school setting in Lumberton, NC. This is a full-time contract position designed to support students across multiple educational levels, including elementary, middle, or high school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language support services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Manage caseloads across multiple school sites, adapting interventions to meet diverse student needs.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress in accordance with school policies.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to developing strategies for student communication development.

Qualifications:

  • Active North Carolina Speech Language Pathologist Assistant License is required.
  • Experience working in school environments with children at various educational levels preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and school staff.
  • Reliable attendance and commitment to onsite work during the standard school week (MondayFriday, 37.5 hours per week).

Location and Schedule:

  • Position based onsite in Lumberton, NC.
  • Hours are full-time, Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
  • The contract is set to begin ASAP with an end date of May 22, 2026.
