As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), youll work closely with certified Speech-Language Pathologists, helping foster communication and growth among students from diverse backgrounds. What You Will Need:
Active SLPA license
Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Understanding of speech and language development and intervention techniques
Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ongoing learning
Ability to follow treatment plans and document progress precisely
Key Responsibilities:
Implement speech and language therapy activities as directed by the supervising SLP
Support student participation in classroom and social settings
Track student progress and provide accurate, timely records
Communicate effectively with educators, families, and other specialists
Prepare materials, adapt resources, and assist in assessments
Help foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere
