Key Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license is required.
  • Previous experience as an SLPA in a K12 setting preferred.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of 5055 students across assigned schools.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Completion of fingerprinting and background clearance per state and district guidelines; familiarity with the AHCA Clearinghouse and JLA badge process is a plus.
  • Comfortable working at various school locations within the district.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language interventions as directed by supervising Speech Language Pathologists.
  • Deliver services to students in both individual and small-group settings, adapting to diverse elementary and middle school needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with district and state standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP discussions, and professional development activities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to support each students communication goals.
  • Travel between assigned school campuses as needed within the Fort Myers area.
