Job Description

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Current SLPA licensure or eligibility in Maryland
  • Experience in school-based or healthcare settings working as an SLPA
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills; comfort with itinerant roles
  • Experience supporting students with diverse physical, cognitive, or social needs is highly valued
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to individual student goals
  • Commitment to professional growth and ongoing learning

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services under supervision of an SLP
  • Implement IEPs for a varied caseload of students in specialized programs
  • Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and support staff
  • Maintain timely documentation and assist with assessments
  • Attend paid team meetings, participate in ongoing training, and engage in administrative duties as assigned
  • Travel between assigned schools (itinerant position; paid travel time) to meet students needs
  • Support positive student outcomes within a supportive, multidisciplinary team
