Step into a rewarding contract role dedicated to supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This full-time opportunity offers a consistent 40-hour work week and is available for immediate start, lasting through the end of the school year.
In this position, you'll play an essential role in fostering communication development for students. As part of a collaborative school-based team, your days will be dynamiccombining direct therapy with indirect support and thorough progress tracking to drive student success.
Qualifications:
- Active California SLPA license (please note: Occupational Therapist licensure is not required for this SLPA role)
- At least one year of professional experience, preferably in a school or healthcare setting
- Strong commitment to student growth and success
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services to students as directed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress
- Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to optimize individualized intervention plans
- Manage caseload efficiently while ensuring all documentation and compliance tasks are completed
- Adapt and modify activities to suit individual student needs
