Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Hold a valid SLPA license or credential as required by the state
- Completed an associates degree or bachelors program in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, adaptable nature
- Skilled at following therapy plans created by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
- Ability to maintain detailed documentation and confidentiality
- Comfortable working both individually and as part of a multidisciplinary education team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Assist with implementing Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals for students with speech and language needs
- Support students in classroom settings and deliver interventions in small group or one-on-one sessions
- Track and document students progress and update records in accordance with school policies
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate language goals within the classroom
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and activities as directed
- Participate in ongoing professional development and required training
