Job Description

A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide on-site services in the Jacksonville, FL area. This full-time position runs from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027, and offers the rewarding experience of working directly with a traditional student caseload within one school site.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, active SLPA license in the state of Florida (FL DOH SLPA licensure required)
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with supervising SLPs and school staff
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with students, parents, and teachers
  • Willingness to complete required fingerprinting and credentialing steps (knowledge of Florida AHCA Clearinghouse procedures is helpful)
  • Commitment to serving on-site; this role is not open to virtual/remote delivery

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language services to students as part of their IEPs under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Support a diverse traditional caseload, adjusting strategies as appropriate for students age groups and communication needs
  • Maintain accurate records, document student progress, and participate in meetings as needed
  • Collaborate with school staff to promote generalization of skills in the classroom environment
