Make an immediate impact this school year by supporting students as a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant! A full-time contract opportunity is available for up to four SLPAs to assist during the first six weeks of the school year. Youll lend crucial expertise while the district's new hires complete required observation hours, making you an essential part of student progress from the very first days of school.
This assignment runs from August 10, 2026, through September 25, 2026, with potential for extension. Youll work approximately 35 hours per week in a dynamic school setting, supporting a diverse caseload (age group details to be confirmed after an upcoming district meeting). Precise campus assignments will be shared as additional information becomes available.
Desired Background and Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLPA license
- Prior experience in a school-based SLPA or pediatric role is highly valued
- Ability to quickly complete Texas fingerprinting requirements if not already on record
- Strong collaboration skills for working with students, educators, and supervising SLPs
- Adaptable, resourceful, and able to manage multiple responsibilities across potentially varied campuses
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Support IEP implementation and conduct progress monitoring
- Maintain clear documentation and communication with the educational team
- Contribute to a supportive and positive school environment to enhance student outcomes
