Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold an active SLPA license or certification, with experience in educational or pediatric settings preferred
  • Comfortable working with students ages PreK-12 across a range of communication abilities
  • Ability to conduct assessments, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEP)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
  • Familiar with providing both direct and indirect speech-language services
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to adapt to diverse student needs
  • Committed to upholding ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language interventions under the supervision of an SLP, adapting strategies based on student progress
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute relevant observations
  • Complete thorough assessments and assist in creating treatment plans
  • Support students in developing essential communication, articulation, and language skills
  • Maintain accurate records of sessions and progress notes
  • Engage with staff and families to foster an inclusive and supportive environment
  • Collaborate with onsite supervisors and utilize available mentorship

This contract position runs from early August through late May, working full-time hours weekly and providing the stability and routine within a vibrant educational setting.
