Job Description

Supporting communication development in an elementary school setting, this role offers an excellent opportunity for a licensed Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) based in Houston, TX. This position involves working closely with students to assist in implementing speech therapy plans under supervision, contributing meaningfully to their educational growth and verbal skills.

Location:

  • Houston, TX (Travel assignments within this area may be required)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy services to elementary-aged children
  • Support individualized education plans (IEPs) implementation focused on speech and language development
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate effectively with school staff, families, and therapists to promote student success
  • Participate in team meetings and training as needed

Qualifications:

  • Valid SLPA credential/license in Texas
  • Experience or interest in working with elementary school-aged children preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow guidance and adapt to various student needs

Schedule:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 5 days per week, typically within school hours
