Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students with speech and language needs. This position for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in a school setting, working full-time during the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language services to elementary-aged students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to implement therapy plans
  • Accurately document student progress and session outcomes
  • Consult with teachers and other educational staff to ensure effective communication support across environments
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP discussions as needed
  • Follow district guidelines and maintain compliance with state licensure and school policies

Qualifications:

  • Active and current Minnesota SLPA license (must be in hand at the time of application; pending licensure will not be considered)
  • Experience or strong interest in working in an elementary educational environment
  • Familiarity with delivering speech-language support services under supervision
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment for students

  • Start: February 17, 2026
  • End: June 5, 2026
  • Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday (30-minute unpaid lunch each day)
  • Location: Onsite in elementary schools near Hopkins, MN
