Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant for a year round contract. This position offers a supportive, low-stress environment with a manageable schedule, allowing clinicians to provide high-quality, individualized care to children and adolescents.
Schedule & Setting:
- One-on-one therapy sessions (approximately one patient per hour)
- Dedicated 1-hour lunch break
- Outpatient pediatric clinic setting
- Predictable daily schedule with built-in time for documentation and preparation
Patient Population:
- Children and adolescents ages 218
- Primarily mild to moderate cases
- No medically fragile patients
Areas of Focus:
- Articulation and phonological disorders
- Receptive and expressive language delays
- Pragmatic/social communication skills
- Literacy support (reading and writing delays)
- Autism spectrum disorder (primarily higher-functioning individuals)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging, evidence-based therapy sessions
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to support carryover of skills
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active state licensure (or eligibility)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for working with pediatric populations
