Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field required
- Current SLPA state licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and other staff
- Ability to follow treatment plans created by a certified Speech-Language Pathologist
- Commitment to contributing to student growth and positive educational experiences
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist in screening, assessing, and documenting student progress
- Support SLPs in preparing therapy materials, managing caseloads, and maintaining detailed records
- Collaborate with teachers and families to integrate communication goals and strategies within the classroom
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and school events as needed
