In this contract opportunity, youll collaborate with educators and Speech-Language Pathologists, supporting students in reaching crucial communication goals throughout the school year. This role offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours across five days each week, providing the chance to build meaningful relationships and refine your clinical skills in a vibrant educational setting.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist Assistant certification in Texas
- Experience or coursework in pediatric or school-based speech-language services
- Familiarity with working alongside multidisciplinary teams in educational environments
- Strong interpersonal, organization, and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and positive learning atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to K12 students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support speech and language screenings, progress monitoring, and documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other therapists to maximize student success
- Prepare materials and contribute to assessments as directed
